The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NePAD) is an initiative by African leaders to take ownership of sustainable growth and development from Africa through democratic governance, sound economic policies and peace building and by having coherent, consistent and politically legitimate new partnerships with the industrialised countries and multilateral organisations.

		• Annual in-house needs assessment of the NGO sector. • Disseminate infomation of training institutions and the areas relevant to NGO training. • Develop database of specialized Resource Persons. • Develop annual training programme on the basis of current capacity building programme document and forward to NGO's. • Implement the capacity building programme of BOCONGO. • Evaluate the impact of training offered by BOCONGO and suggest modification and further areas of training. • Mobilize institution such as UB, IDM, BNPC to incorporate NGO training needs in their training programmes. NETWORKING AND INFORMATION DISSEMINATION PROGRAMME The Networking and Information Dissemination Programme is designed to assist BOCONGO and local NGOs to keep abreast of events happening throughout the world. Through this programme, NGOs share information and best practices with other partner organisations. Information dissemination and sharing is seen as a pillar for building a strong and cohesive NGO movement. Issues of concern here are the developmet of a methodology for information sharing and networking, dissemination of information on best practices and success stories. In order to facilatate effective information sharing between NGO's the office of the Networking and information Dissemination Officer engages in the following:
